Quite a few people have asked me why I done a startup right after returning from NOC, and my reply was that it doesn't matter if I am my own boss or not, as long as I get to make a difference.

This made me realise the reason why : It was that I have been working in small companies so far - I had lots of influence at Roots and Shoots, and later as part of a small department at OES.
Especially since I am not really bothered by money and benefits anyway that are the key benefits of a large company - I hardly track them anyway!
